A Look Back - The Best Day EVER!

I did post the link for our wedding photos but never put up any of the pictures specifically. I think I should have and am still disappointed in myself with this and several other things that I will not bring up at this moment.

It was such an amazing day and while a lot of my good friends and family were unable to be there, we still had the best day of our lives with some pretty spectacular individuals.

So, here are some of my absolute faves. I hope you enjoy them as much as we do. =)

October 2009 was an incredible month. Here it comes again, and even better this time!

After 6 hours in the hot tub and a lot of beer, Jon's back ended up going out on him on the day of the wedding (and the wedding party was zombie on the dance floor wedding night). A very special thanks to Jeremy for snapping this pic! And thank goodness Rob was able to come to the rescue! He saved the best day of my life! =)

Our new dawn... and the infamous question.

How would I answer the question, "How's married life?"

I would think of the words of Bella Cullen (aka Stephenie Meyer's words in Breaking Dawn, the last of the Twilight Saga Series)...

"I had found my true place in the world, the place I fit, the place I shinned."

It's so frikin' near; the thought brings a tear; for the crowd there's lots of beer; 4 days, it's almost here!

Hehehe. Excitement is oozing from my pores. And glad to have my mama here! :)

"Going to the Chapel...

and we're gonna get ma-a-ar-ried."

Well we're not actually going to the chapel but we are definitley getting married. That is a line from my all time favorie song, Going to the Chapel of Love by the Dixie Cups. I can remember being 4 years old, singing all the words and being as happy as could be. I actually called the radio station and asked them to play it. I described it as, "the going to the chapel song." Unfortunately, the guy told me he had no idea what I was talking about and to stop playing on the phone. I remember crying and teling my mom... mean old punk; how could he not know what I was talking about? Turd.

Anyhoo, I have always loved the song and am still in awe that I myself will be getting married... in 4 days!!!!! Funny, it has almost been been 4 years. Our first date was in October 2005 and the almost 3 year engagement has been so much fun. 4 days... yeah...

OMG!!!!! 7 Days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

7, yep, 7. Seven whole days until I marry the love of my life... thus the absolute lack of posting for an entire MONTH! Sad, ridiculous, unacceptable, I know. We have loads of stuff left to do but are enjoying every second. :)

We also have ACL this weekend... my 3rd time but the first rainy one for me and everybody else! ACL is usually in September (when it is hot, dusty, and at the same time as the UT game). they decided to move it to October this year, one week before our wedding! And now it's raining... and is fore casted to rain all the way through Friday... now one day before our wedding.

Oh geeeeeeeeeez.

Here we come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Real Countdown Begins...

I can barely believe that all this time has gone by! Jon proposed on New Year's Eve 2006 at Shakespeare's downtown; it was beautiful and warm and with family and friends. Since then, it has been a lot of fun times being engaged and a time I will never forget.

We will be Mr. and Mrs. Jones on October 10, 2009 and the last minute frenzy has really begun! I cannot believe I will married to my absolute Prince Charming in less than 2 months (it is also our 4 year anniversary). I am blessed and cannot wait to begin the rest if lives. :)

Wish us luck! I am gonna cry like a frikin' baby the whole way through... I can just see it now...

We've Cleared the First Paper Hurdle!

Yep, Jon's a genius. I stayed up until 2 yesterday morning thinking about a way to tie our invitations, menus, etc. with the wacky theme we've thought up.

After work, Jon had a rough draft with an amazing idea for the overall paper theme. In a matter of no time, we had the best Save the Date ever!

We're excited... we're getting stuff done!

Wedding Day Anxiety

Oh my...

I am getting nervous. Real nervous.

I'm not nervous about getting married- I cant flippin' wait! I am freaking out about the planning process and how it will pan out the day of.

I know, I know- me, me , me. But, I haven't been a self-obsessed pain in the butt... yet. I'm just starting to realize that our wedding is real and that very soon, I'll be a married woman who just attended the wedding of her dreams (or so I pray).

So awesome.

But getting the wedding of your dreams isn't as easy as people think. It's stressful because you want everything to go so perfect and you only get one try (or at least, you should).

Fingers crossed, we embark on the second journey... catering and dresses and flowers, oh my...
